Name: Bugz Breed: Boston Terrier Gender: Male Age: 2 Personality: Bugz was adopted by a lovely woman when she spotted him posted on Craigs List. Bugz spent the first year and a half pretty much isolated in a back yard, and he is in need of catching up in social skills and love. He had not recieved any medical care or vaccines and was severely underweight and covered in fleas when she took him in. Now Bugz has been neutered and has put on some weight and loves to play and spend lots of time with people. He has done okay with some very submissive females dogs but tends to get into fights with males, and when he sees animals on TV also becomes excited and barks and lunges at the TV. For that reason we feel Bugz will be best as an only animal. When Bugz is asked to get off of furniture or has been lunging at the TV and his new owner tried to pull him away he has snapped at her but never bitten. She just does not have the time to be able to work with him to overcome his poor socialization and hopes to find a home with someone who has the time, love and skills to show Bugz that love comes with obediance.
Bugz loves to go for walks, car rides on his seatbelt harness, play with his rope and ball toys. He loves squeaky toys and chews on his nylabone. He will snuggle up for a good neck rub and when he feels really comfortable will fall asleep on his back with all four legs sticking up in the air. He loves to chase lizards and squirels.
In all, Bugz is a good boy who just needs a home with someone adept at the "noting in life is free" method of loving training. He never learned how to interact appropriately due to being dumped in a backyard alone. He is very smart and eager to please and just wants a loving forever home to call his. He craves human touch and love and in the right home will blossom into the good boy he so wants to be. Bugz is housetrained and weighs about 15 pounds. He does have a penchant for shoes and slippers so a nylabone or kong are a must for him. Issues: Probably best as an only dog. Needs a firm but loving home willing to to let Bugz know they love him, but he is not the boss. Bugz's Story: Young boy who spent much of the first part of his life isolated in a back yard. He is high energy and playful and needs a dog savy home that will keep him active and care for him with firm love.
