Sunny's Story:
Sunny was a happy little Bosgle, which is a Boston/Beagle mix. She had the small body of a BT, and the head of a dainty beagle. We were contacted by the San Diego shelter and asked if we would consider taking Sunny in. She had been at the shelter for a few days, and was not doing well there. Sunny had arthritis in her legs and feet, and the cold shelter floors hurt her. Of course we could not leave the sweet girl there, and so she came into our care at the time of life when she should have been cherished by her family. But Sunny, also known as Granny, quickly became a very loved and cherished member of her foster mom's home. She loved to chase balls and find a nice warm spot to sun herself in. After several months of care her foster mom noticed that Sunny was sleeping most of the time, and was coughing a lot each time she would try to move about. The vet determined that poor Sunny had worn her little heart out and so we put her on medication to help and she perked up for a month or two. Finally the time came that it was obvious that Sunny was no longer comfortable, and the vet confirmed that the kindest act would be to let Sunny go and be out of pain.

Sunny's foster mom held this tiny lady in her arms and gave her the last act of kindness she could with tears in her eyes.

Sunny was not a full Boston, but she was one of the sweetest little Granny girls we have ever loved.

I just adore playing ball and will dig through my toybox until I find it several times each day!
